Mission: Holiday

This coming week I wont be posting as I will be internet free! It's a combination of my choice to reconnect to the outside world and that I do not have a laptop yet. But there will be some posts once I return, some reviews, perticularly of a hair salon. I'm so happy to be going back to Paignton, as I've stated in a previous post.

I thought I was so prepared, I'd packed all of my things before hand, and packed Craig's things too, then I get this nagging feeling.....I've forgotten to pack my hair straightners. I don't know about you, but these are essential to me, I don't straighten my hair everyday, hell, I don't always straighten all of it, I do like my fringe to be straight though. The thought of not having that luxury annoys me a bit.

At least I have a few Alice bands though, and there's a Superdrug in Paignton town.

Sweet as a Plum

I really love purple at the moment, it's just such a delicious colour!

I really like the sheer shirt trend, but the blouses are, well, I'm funny with shirts, I'm of the big-bust persuasion you see, and all natural! But this one from New Look, I wouldn't mind buying in a too-big-for-me size, as it's tie fronted and would look nice over a plain vest (like pictured), I adore the rasberry/ribena colour of it too!

I really like the dress too, perhaps more going out than every day wear, but it's adorable, the orange waist band means it's perfect for the colour blocking trend.

Barry M Nail Paint's Berry Icecream. *sigh* I really love this colour, but I can't find it anywhere, it's even sold out on the Barry M website! *throws a tantrum like a child* just kidding. In all seriousness I do want this nail varnish, it's so pretty and I have all the other ice cream shades!

This camisole is so cute, yet the black lace gives it that sexy edge. I love the colour, that dusky purple is just to die for. I think it'd look nice in the daytime with jeans and a blazer, or dressed up with shorts, tights, heels and killer acessories!

I think there's something so beautiful about an agate necklace, so natural and raw yet the setting makes it so glam!

Aren't those pumps the cutest? I love the fact they're floral, and the bar across makes them look slightly sporty but oh so femmine!

Feeding your Skin

You are what you eat, that's what I've always been taught, the reasoning for me trying to eat better now, as it shows on your skin. So you feed yourself, why not feed your skin?

Your skin has such a hard time, it gets blasted by the changing weather, dried out with central heating and air conditioners, then suffocated by pollution. Don't you think it deserves a treat?

The avocado if perfect for treating your skin, they are packed full of minerals, such as potassium, but also contain vitamins A, E, B and K. A facial mask made out of an avocado pear will leave your skin feeling fresh, smooth, soft and nourished.

Avocado Mask

You will need:
  • One ripe avocado
  • Two table spoons of honey
  • A bowl
  • A spoon
  • A refridgerator
Step One

First you need to cut the avocado and scoop out the flesh, this should be rather easy if it's ripe. Add the flesh and honey into a bowl, mash together until you create a paste. A gooey, icky looking, but not bad tasting paste.

Step One

Step Two
Apply the paste to your face, as you would any other face mask. I also applied the smoother paste to my under eyes and lips.

Step Two

Step Three
Kick back with a book for 30minutes.

Step Three

Step Four
Once the 30minutes are up, rinse off with warm water whilst massaging your face in circular motions. Once it's rinsed off, wash your face and pat dry with a towel.

Step Four

Et voila super soft skin! Just carry on with your usual skin care routine and moisturise your way to a beautiful glow, soft, kissable skin!
As you can see, I did this myself and my skin feels great! I hope this helps!

Peace, Love and all that jazz. xo

The Ultimate Broski

I thought that I'd dedicate this blog post to a guy who provides so much entertainment.

Zack Ryder

Whether it's his tan, his style, his action figure/toy collection or his hair, this guy makes you want to watch him every week. WWWYKI. So, I'm really at a loss as to why he wasn't drafted or gracing our television screens with his presence.

I watch his youtube show True Long Island Story every week, he really deserves a break.

Come on WWE, give Zack A break!

Bad Skin, Bad!

So, by now I intended to have a haul video up, but after changing moisturisers I got the worst break out I'ver ever had. 4 evil, red bumps on my left cheek, 2 on my upper lip, one between the eyebrows and one on my chin. I've never had good skin, but I've been treating it this past year and it got better, but now, I feel like curling up and crying!

I will do a better blog post, tomorrow or something, seeing as I'm not doing my haul video (it includes the most amazing boots ever!) which, I guess, gives my cheapsmells order chance to arrive. I've also ordered an acne cream, but I'm waiting for it to arrive, and test before I talk about it, but I'm optimistic.

Anyways, it's been my ambition to be blonde, blonde ambition, ever since I dyed my lovely blonde hair Midnight blue in college, ever since I've struggled to get it light enough, and those red mishaps I had, oh and the green one.

Well I now have yellow-y blonde hair, which I lightened with a lovely little dye, which in all honest I thought would be crap (like the red & blue hair), I'm at this mid-tone stage, before I dye it again (don't worry, I'm taking very good care).

So earlier, I was bored and decided to play with my make up, I was that happy with the look that I had to take a photo (or a bazillion), but there's the issue of my bad skin, so I photoshopped the chosen photo, just to hide the blemishes and a mole I have.

So, that's the make up.

I used a gold eyeshadow over the lid, swept it out towards my eyebrow, then along the lower lash line.
Then with a matt black eyeshadow I exagerated my outer V, then used the same eyeshadow as an eyeliner and blended it inwards and upwards to create a smoky look. I also bought it along the bottom lash line.
I used a touch of white eye shadow along the brow bone to highlight.
Finally, I used an eyeliner pencil to line the waterline and used my favourite mascara to make my lashes big.

By the way, I didn't photoshop myself that pale, I think it's a combination of the SPF in my moisturiser & foundation with the flash of my camera.

Yellow hair, LOL!

So for now;

Peace, love and all that jazz. xo
