Bag Books: I Don't Know How She Does It

I Don't Know How She Does It by Allison Pearson

I admit that I only read this book because I want to see the movie, and that I only want to see the movie because Sarah Jessica Parker is in it.

First thing, I own the movie poster cover, not the one seen above, I just like that cover more, and you can see mementos from the story on this cover.

So, we follow the escapades of Kate Reddy, married, 2 children and a full time job, who is barely in her London home. We see her juggle all of the above whilst feeling a lot of guilt.

I really enjoyed this story and I got a lot of happiness from reading it, I laughed and I almost cried, I even rolled my eyes along with Kate on the odd occasion.

I wholly recommend you pick up this book the next time you see it, you wont regret it as it's simple reading. I don't mean simple in a bad way either, I mean it's a good book that you can read a chapter on your break but you won't have to remember a complex plot.

Peace, love and all that jazz. xo

Test Subject: Barry M Liquid Liner

Hello all! This is the first Test Subject of 2012! This is having a slightly different format to last year.

First up we have a liquid liner from Barry M in the shade Black.

I don't know about you, but I'm funny when it comes to liquid eyeliners, I really don't like the little thin brushes, so you can imagine how happy I was when I unscrewed the lid to find the applicator I like.

I only picked this up in the first place because;

1. It was part of an offer.
2. I love and trust the Barry M Intense Eyeliner Pens

It applies really well, and the graduating lid makes it comfortable in the hand whilst applying. The liner itself feels comfortable on the eyelid and wears well.

I fully recommend this eyeliner to people.

It also comes in a range of colours, such as;

Turquoise
Coffee Shimmer
Electric Blue
Mermaid Green
Purple
Pink

I think the green looks like a beautiful shade which I may have to purchase.

These eyeliners cost around £4.79, depending on where you purchase them from.

Next time I'll be reviewing Maybelline's Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara.

Bag Books: The Zombie Survival Guide

Happy New Year! I thought we'd kick it off in style....and protected, always protected.

The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks

I do not, for the life of me, know why it has taken me this long to showcase this book. I've adored it since I was 18 years old and have thumbed through it many a time.

Now you may snigger because of the fact it's called 'The Zombie Survival Guide', but I continue to believe that an outbreak that causes a zombie like illness is possible, though you can always just read it for laughs.

Though this seems a little out there, out there? You just said zombies could happen! It is my belief that should there be a terrorist attack of some sort then this book is also quite handy. Hey, it's always good to be prepared.

There's some great historical, and that term can be applied loosely, stories in the last section that can also make you stop and think....and laugh. It's always good to laugh.

Whether you take this book seriously or not, it's a great read either way. There's so much imagination to it which just makes it so wonderful.

Peace, love and all that jazz. xo
